Description
A baroque horse carrousel from the days of King Frederick the Great.The “Höfische Festspiele Potsdam” in collaboration with the Bückeburg riding academy (Fürstliche Hofreitschule Bückeburg) and with the assistance of the Prussian Palaces and Garden Foundation Berlin-Brandenburg present equestrian arts featuring “Le Carrousel de Sanssouci” modeled on the grand ”Carrousel de Berlin”. More than 1500 spectators will be given the opportunity to rediscover a festival culture unknown today and to be inspired by the haute école of classical baroque horsemanship.
The "Le Carrousel de Sanssouci" features quadrilles of equestrians, allegoric charts on horseback accompanied by live wind players and chamber music, enhanced with court dances, lyrical singing and artistry.
