The most prestigious, exuberant and romantic impressions of Prussian Baroque can be found in Sanssouci Park when the 15th Night of the Palaces commences on 17 August 2013. Immerse yourself in baroque splendour and take pleasure in the multitude of spectacles in the park like concerts and dancing performances, theatre plays and literary events. Hundreds of artists take part in the creation of this incredible Night of the Palaces event. Baroque masks and costumes are coming to life again in the park, at the Orangery, the New Palace, in front of the Chinese Tea House, at the Roman Baths, the Picture Gallery, or at the Church of Peace on the other end of the park. Trees will also come alive, telling stories about how they came here and about the beautiful gardens by landscape architect Peter Lenné who blended English garden architecture with ancient Near Eastern and Roman-Latin influences. All these attractions offer visitors an opportunity to discover Sanssouci like the Kings of Prussia.
