The centre of Potsdam’s newly-designed harbour is the Spanish restaurant "El Puerto". You can sit on its terrace with about 80 seats and watch the hustle and bustle on the water, surrounded by tropical palm trees – it is a Mediterranean oasis in the middle of the town.

In the heart of Potsdam in the Nauener Tor (one of Potsdam’s town gates), which is listed under a preservation order, you will find Arco, a spaciously designed café with a Mediterranean atmosphere. Enjoy a cup of cappuccino, the tramezzini, which are delicious sandwiches, the crostini or canapés and other Italian specialities, which change every day. Choose between pasta, fish, meat and home-made tiramisu from the small open kitchen.

The inn and brewery is located right by Jungfernsee (lake of virgins) with a beautiful view of Königswald (the king’s forest, a nature reserve) and the Glienicker Volkspark (people’s park). The guest is welcomed by a cosy atmosphere of the style found in rural Prussian inns.

Where once Crown Prince Frederick William had his honeymoon, you can today enjoy the fantastic view of the Tiefen See (deep lake)!
