Nächtliche Schösserimpressionen - Palace impressions by night - a romantic spectacle on River Havel
Immerse yourself in Potsdam’s enchanting water landscape dotted with marvelously lit palaces and parks. On five weekends during the year, the royal buildings and churches lined up on the banks of River Havel are ablaze with light. We welcome you aboard with a glass of champagne before the Potsdam White Fleet puts to sea for a three-hour parade, taking you back into King Frederick the Great’s realm. Starting off at Potsdam Harbour, the convoy of boats takes you along the capital’s royal gardens until you glide into the sunset for the first highlight of the evening at Sacrow. A classical concert of brass instruments in front of the Church of the Redeemer illuminated with numerous torches gets you in a festive mood for the night ride past the splendidly illuminated castles and palaces of the Hohenzollern dynasty and past dancing elves on the banks of Lake Jungfernsee. A baroque rain of fire at Glienicke Bridge marks the crowning moment, transforming the Havel into a sea of lights.
