DAS MINSK Kunsthaus in Potsdam

The opening of the new museum will be a highlight of the cultural year and for the whole city. On 24 September 2022 patron Hasso Plattner opened the former terrace restaurant “Minsk”– built in the 1970s in modernist style of the GDR (East Germany) and saved by his foundation – as a museum. In the interior, which has been completely redesigned, two exhibitions are presented side by side: landscape paintings by East German artist Wolfgang Mattheuer as well  as photographs and a film by Canadian Stan Douglas, who photographed allotment gardens in Potsdam in the 1990.

The Combined Ticket for the Museum Barberini and DAS MINSK Kunsthaus in Potsdam allows one entry each and can be used for 48 hours. A visit to both houses is possible on two consecutive days. Since Tuesday is the closing day in both houses, a ticket bought on Monday is valid until Wednesday.
