The fact that you can explore this compactly over two evenings is a great gift for the musicians and the audience, even a celebration.” With these words, Artist in Residence Václav Luks looks forward to a weekend that will focus on the concerts that Johann Sebastian Bach dedicated to Margrave Christian Ludwig of Brandenburg. Bach gave great recognition to the music of Johann Friedrich Fasch and Jan Dismas Zelenka, who received little attention during his lifetime but is one of Václav Luks' absolute favorite composers. And the works of Bach and his contemporaries were already performed by King Frederick II in the palace theater in the New Palace.
