Since the German empire tales of UFA and DEFA movie stars, political personalities and celebrities of the economy are tied to the Mansion Colony Neubabelsberg. Representative villas built by famous architects such as Mies van der Rohe hosted international guests from five different political systems: Marlene Dietrich, Erich Kästner, Konrad Adenauer and Heinz Rühmann, among them Truman, Churchill and Stalin resided in the representative mansions build in close proximity. Further recommendation: Visit Babelsberg Park and the view on the historic Glienicke Bridge from the palace.
