Freshly caught fish, vegetarian food and the best meat from the pasture can be found on the menu along with delicious snacks. An exquisite champagne menu and top drinks invite you to linger at this ingenious place.

The history of the Kongsnæs sailors' station next to Glienicke Bridge begins as a mooring for the boats of the Prussian royal family. By order of Wilhelm II, an ensemble of buildings in the Norwegian dragon style was built between 1891 and 1895 according to plans by architect Holm Hansen Munthe, with a reception pavilion, the so-called "Vente Hall", boat shed and three residential buildings for the operating personnel.

After the First World War Kongsnæs remained in the possession of the House of Hohenzollern and was leased to the "Kaiserlichen Yacht-Club" (KYC) in Kiel. At the end of the Second World War parts of the ensemble burned down. Only the foundations and the residential buildings on the other side of Schwanenallee survived. The bank barrier of the Berlin Wall along the Schwanenallee divided the property into two parts. The lakeside area was no longer accessible to the public for decades. Only the houses continued to be used for residential purposes.

After the fall of communism in 1990, the "Förderverein Kongsnæs e. V." (Kongsnæs Association) committed itself to the reconstruction and refurbishment of the existing buildings. In early 2009, a Berlin jewelry dealer acquired the property from the city of Potsdam with the aim of renovating the three remaining buildings in accordance with their listed status, rebuilding the Kongsnæs reception hall, restoring the harbour facilities and preserving public accessibility of the site.
